Cochin Golden Laced Bantams Created by Coopa Cabana Breed Information, Comments, and Experience with breed: Golden Laced is an ABA Standardized Plumage, and the Color Variety is recognized and accepted for Bantam Cochins. Just like all other Bantam Cochins, they have just the sweetest dispositions you will ever find. The 'GL' hen will go broody and be a great mother, just like the other color varieties. Proper lacing can be a real challenge - feathers must have clean centers of Gold, outlined distinctly in black with a nice, green sheen. Genetically, they are a Partridge(Pg), to which the Melanizer(Ml) and Columbian(Co) genes have been added. |
