Eggnog Pie

    1 tsp. unflavored gelatin
    1 tbsp cold water
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    1 tbsp butter
    1 tbsp vanilla
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped to a peak
    1 baked pie shell

    Cooking Instructions

    Soak gelatin in cold water. Scald milk. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; mix well. Add milk to mixture and cook until thick. Add eggs and cook two minutes. Add gelatin, butter, and vanilla. Cool, then fold in whipped cream. Pour into a baked pie shell. Can be topped with fruit.
