How to Help a Chicken with an Eye that has been wounded

I like this and it's informative, but knowing very little about Colloidal Silver, an explanation of what it is, what strength, where to get it, etc. would be helpful.

The usual recommendation is rinsing the eye(s) with a sterile saline solution to help clean out anything that may be in there. If infected, Terramycin should take care of it.

It's great this worked for you and your chicken, but you could go a little bit further into other treatments too and in what situations should each be used. It's all right to add a link or two to let people research further if they want if it's something you're not personally familiar with.

I watched a YouTube video where a guy put 500 PPM colloidal silver in the roosters eye. I did that with mine and it cleared up in a couple days but it was a good article as a reference, wish I read it before I tried other things.

Good article on fixing an eye problem. Would appreciate more details, or overview of different eye problems.

Some more details would be good, like what to do if the eye is infected. Perhaps talk about what antibiotics to use - terramycin is the one that is most commonly used for eye issues.

It doesn’t go over what recovery is like for the eye - do they get their sight back? What happens if the wound gets infected? What shouldn’t you do when treating an eye? What sort of eye injuries does this work for?
It would help if you would go into more detail and explain possible things that could go wrong, and add some
detail to the article.
