We lost our slw roo to foxes (along with most of our hens). This left us with a 10 month old jersey giant roo (he was going for the dinner table). He has a red head and shoulders. Is this unusual? Is he worth breeding? Size comparison: partridge rock hen is same age, and the pic with the stairs behind him, he is on the ground, not the bottom step. What is this color called? How did this happen genetically?
