I live in Peoria, AZ which is a suburb of Phoenix. I have a great wife and we have 5 children. Our oldest daughter is married and they just had our first grandchild, a boy.
Our only son is currently serving a mission for our church in New York. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I grew up on a small dairy farm in Northern Utah and used to raise baby chicks as part of our meat/egg supply.
I have always had a fondness for them and decided recently to try it out and see how it would go.
I bought 6 Americauna chicks April 5th. They are doing very well and I am in the process of building my coop. I have a temporary run attached to the brooder hutch that has worked out well but is definitely only for when they are small.
I really enjoy this website as there is so much valuable information on it. I really enjoy looking at all the coop designs. There are some very talented people out there. Keep up the great work!
