and that's all of them outside playing hanging out with Momma including my suspected roo whom I now know is NOT a roo lol at about 5 1/2 weeks.
Will update with newer pics and pics of the coop once I unload my camera! But right now I want to get their coop done- they're 8 weeks old and still homeless! Lol
So Now that the girls are getting bigger and the coop is being built... (built it to accomidate 10-12 birds!) we are talking about what types we want to add. I know one of the first things I want to do is get a roo of some sort to watch out for the girls but there are few different breeds I want of hens and I think I want a sex link roo so I can kep some straight. The breeds we're looking into are EE's, I want at least one Ameracuana, Blue chochins, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Reds, Cuckoo Maran, Dominique, Red star, and Wyandotte. I am done with white egg layers ha ha...I've got enough of those! If you know anything about these breeds or breeding them and can offer any advice to help me decide...That would be great. We're looking to add four birds to start, one of them being a roo. If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to PM me! :) I'm loving this BYC community!
