I am in a desperate situation.
I had a lease between me and another man. He claims he could not get into contact with me and has sold my horse which was FORBIDDEN in the contract. Now, the man who bought the horse KNEW about the contract yet still refuses to allow me to see my horse. Except if I come and pay $5,000.
I have tried to involve the sheriff but they will not get involved. I even filed a report, talked to the investigator, nothing. The best they can tell me is to get an attorney...so that is what I'm trying to do.
I have pretty much done all the work for whoever is willing. I can have a statement by the previous owner and breeder, have the written lease agreement, have registration papers and photos as well as the phone numbers for whoever you would like to get into contact with.
I am BEGGING someone to help me. I am at my wits end. I want to get my horse in a safe place before something happens to him and he winds up being sold and out of my hands. If someone feels as though they can help, I would like to hire you as my attorney on this.
The attorney that was SUPPOSED to be handling this will not return phone calls, keeps putting me off and will not meet when I try to set up a meeting.
