I've always wanted to weigh Wooly because she has always been heavier/larger than my full grown silkie roosters. The SOP weight for a bantam silkie hen is 32 ounces = 2 pounds. Woolys weight was 3 1/2 pounds! So she is either really fat or just large bodied for a silkie hen. Here's some pictures of her on the scale. Sorry for her muddy feet and crest! It rained a couple days ago and she loves to play in the mud! I am also wondering what is the "ideal" weight for breeders who are working on a standard silkie projet?
