Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

mod podge-glossy kind
and bead caps to add on to the bottom and top to cover the holes you made

thats really it! My camera is dead but I hope to get photos on once My bead caps come in-I just ordered 500 off of ebay for 10$ gold and silver ones-
 
I haven't went through the whole thread yet to see if this has already been answered...but...what do you guys use to hold the eggs up while decorating? I see Miss Prissy has some wooden sticks I think?
That was my problem when painting my eggs. I didn't have anything to hold them except my fingers!

I'm definitely inspired! I need to go to Michael's or somewhere and get some modge podge and stuff to decorate with!
 
Im not that crafty to actually paint on designs-I used rub on tranferrs-but they looked like I painted them on after the gloss has dried:-) I hold them while doing it and then to paint the gloss on I put the eggs on a scewer...
 
wooden shish-ke-bob sticks, and styrofoam to hold them up.... put the egg onto the stick at a slight angle through the larger hole you made...

Thanks for the tip on the syringe to get them cleaned out. I was wondering how I would blow out a tough old egg with copd

I have syringes all over the place (got calves... they need shots periodically).

For those who don't have syringes, go to your local feedstore in the "cow/medical aisle" - they are pretty cheap to buy.

I gave up blowing out eggs with anything but a syringe years ago. Makes my cheeks hurt alot less that way. I get mine at the local farm store like Mojo Chicken said.
I make my holes with a thumb tack or push pin. The plastic ones. I never make a hole at the bottom and it makes it a little harder to get all the stuff out but one less hole to bother with later. Had a few pop in my hand a until I learned how much pressure the egg could take.
I love all the pictures on here. They are so pretty and I never thought I could make something so pretty but now it seems possible after reading how to do it on here.
