Walmart and like stores to sell a variety of air guns. They are similar to BB guns but a bit more powerful. Nice and quiet. SSS. Shoot, shovel and shut up sounds like a good coarse of action!

Have you contacted your local Animal Control Officer? Or filed a police report on the death of your chicks? There needs to be a paper trail about what this cat has done in case someone finds out you killed the cat. You don't want to have to defend yourself against animal cruelty charges on top of all your other troubles. If you file a police report the animal control officer might trap the darn thing and take it off your hands...saving you haveing to find a firearm that will do the job and again, the risk of being charged with "discharging a firearm in a populated area" (or some other crap that they drum up when they find out someone is shooting at pets)

Um... yes they are. I own two cats and they are kept indoors. Any cat outside is feral, unless you are standing there with it. If I see it prowling my pens, it dies. It doesn't have to attack, it just spooks the birds into breaking their necks. Your pet vs. my family's food = Your pet loses.
