I'm interested in networking with anybody who is breeding euskal oiloas (aka basque hen). Where are you, how many birds do you have, where did you get your birds from, are you interested in trading stock of different genetics etc....

There are a few of us up here in Canada, but of course stock and new genetics is limited.

There is a lady on Vancouver Island that has a Marraduna rooster. I think I have her email addy.

we, and several others in Canada have the maradunna form.

This is my young pair hatched out from 2011 eggs that I will be using for breeding this year. Of course, their color is just developing as they are only 2 months old, but they have good basic structure and type

Hi Everyone! Here are a few few pics of my Euskal Oiloas. This years oldest chicks are now just over 4 months old from my pair. I have obtained a new rooster as well to experiment with (he's white!)

My breeding pair:

I'm so glad you hatched 2 for yourself,Skeff! I haven't counted but I think I have about 20 babies. I keep spreading them around! My internet is down tonight due to a nasty rain/wind storm, so I'm down to my blackberry to catch up tonight. Still want to read this whole post through.
