I have lot's o' blooms, but no tomatoes, I didn't know that about 85' it hasn't been below 85 in a month!!!!!! What is bloom set, where do you get it and what does it do?
Tomatoes and peppers are wind pollinated...not bee pollinated...although I'm sure the bees think they are.....
Anyway, BloomSet is "cytokinin as kinetin based on biological activity". It is a natural plant hormone product that promotes flowering, blossom set and increases fruit yield. In high heat, tomatoes and peppers as well as other fruiting vines drop their blossoms. I use the one produced by Ferti-lome. You can find BloomSet at garden centers, feed stores and Lowes and
Walmart. You spray it on the blooms and surrounding leaves about twice a week the first week and then weekly after that. It can be used on beans, cucumbers, melons, okra, peppers, strawberries and grapes. I use it just for tomatoes and peppers. Be sure to shake the spray bottle.
so the windier it is the more tomatoes, right????
