Truth be told, I don't get out much.

(Yeah, like ya'll haven't figured that out already)

Whilst shopping for the seemingly ubiquitous Christmas presents

(at Big Lots)

I came across this:

I feel like I am at the dock watching the stern end recede...
 
and on an un-chicken related note...

(can I do that here?)

This is what I've been welding for the past three days.

They are made of 18 ga steel, cut, edge welded, heated in a forge and blown up to form the leaves.

They take around 5 - 6 hours each.

They will acquire a rust finish, I'm toying with applying a copper plating / patina though.

Wadda ya tink?

i remember when we would go every year during Christmas to visit my grandma
at 5 am we would feed the cows and pigs at 6 am my grandma would have the wood
fire ready to make tortillas at 7 am the enchiladas were ready at 7:30 am
we would take the cows to the land to eat grass and pass by the river
or also at 6 am my grandpa went to plant corn or we would also go at
4 am fishing it would be 2 hours walking at 11 am we would be
back with the fish

Southern Desert, that ball of fluff looks huggable even, but if I had chickens that high in a tree, they would have stayed there...I don't climb that high
