I love the mini goals as well. Each week, my goal is to lose a certain amount of weight. In my mind, I can achieve the weekly single digits easier.

I would love to join you with mini goals.

Ooh, I'd love to join, too.

That's a great idea...

I like the idea of mini goals too. - Though last year we did a weekly weigh in and I just couldn;t "get it" Along with quite a few others and this soon fizzled out! This year I am determined to still do mini goals but not have that stress and pressure. I am thinking ok I had a bad day today - Did eat that desert after all as I found a last piece of pumpkin pie from the New year party and then DH poured cream all over it
hmm.png
So I back slid a bit but tomorrow is a new day and I am hoping by the end of the month I will have some control! - I am also going to use the cross trainer and my trampete - I tiggered myself into weight loss last year so I am trying it again.

I seem to get this half stone off and I am 10 stone 1 and then OMG - it all goes back on again in a flash and I am 11 stone something!!!!!!!!!! That ellusive 9 stone something just never happens BUT THIS TIME!!!!!!!!! I just have to get my big back end on that x trainer!!!! And join you all. I am trying to set a mini goal of just using the thing even for 5 mins!!!!!!! I would love to lose even 1 lb per week you think about it but its not that small as by next weigh in it will be a full 4lbs lost and that is like two whole tubs of butter!!!!!!

I did do good today..For lunch I usually eat 2 sandwhiches-small bag of chips and a huge snickers bar!
hide.gif
..I had 1 1/2 tuna sandwhiches with carrots-no chips or snickers! tomorrow tuna on lettuce-carrots...I forgot my big water jug today which is not a huge issue Ive been known to drink a gallon a day when trying to lose weight!

I saw these plates a few years ago and I always wanted one. When you mentioned the deck of cards, it brought back memories, so I found pics of a couple portion control plates that some people use to control their portions.

Thanks for sharing! Those are so neat! I am still amazed by my idea of a portion size and the reality of a portion size. I think excercise is essential, but I know my main problem is just that I eat too darn much! I'm a glutton by nature and the only way I've gotten away with it this far is because I'm fairly tall and all my extra weight is in my middle. I can camoflauge it as long as I'm not dressing up. I don't mind buying a couple pairs of bigger jeans but I refuse to spend money to buy bigger dress clothes. I didn't realize how much out of hand I'd gotten until the last time I went to the doctor. The nurse weighed me, adjusted the scale, got wide eyed and said "Wow. You carry your weight well." I said "Ummm...thanks?" I thought, "What a nice way to say you don't look as fat as you are..."

Just cut back, but don't cut out anything you like. as you are nearing the end of the meal, ask yourself, do I really need those last 2 bites? Even tiny cuts like that can be helpful!

Well, I walked almost a mile today. Should have done more, but the wind chill kinda was freezing my face. It is supposed to be warmer the next few days. For supper, I have home raise rotisserie chicken, steamed carrots, and steamed broccili and califlower. Finish off with some sugar free applesause for a dessert.
Now, if I just can keep it up.

I'm proud of you for getting on it. The first time I did one I lasted about 3 minutes at a pace a snail could keep up with.
