This morning is halfway through day 25 and all 10 ducklings have hatched. They appear to be moving around fine and I can't see any physical issues. I'll take a closer look at them tonight when I move them to the brooder.

The egg that pipped last night has made progress. There are also 5 more that have started to pip and have cracked the shell a little. I didn't turn them this morning and decided to start lock down now.

I have 10 duck eggs in my incubator and we're on day 23 of my first time hatching duck eggs. When I turned the eggs tonight one of them had what appeared to be a pip already. I've never seen my chicken eggs pip that much in advance to when they should be hatching. The duckling is alive inside...

Thanks! It was still day 19 this morning going into day 20 and not 18 into 19. I got my numbers wrong in my excitement. We're up to 2 hatched, 1 almost and a few others pipped at least. Trying really hard not to be a lurker around the incubator.

Now we have chickens officially...well at least one so far anyway! One hatched during the night and there were 3 more that pipped. Soooo exciting! :wee:celebrate:love

I don't blame them either especially now that it's starting to get really cold! It looks like it's not going to get out of the mid-teens temperature wise for a few days and it's supposed to be below 0 next week at some point. At least any snow we get then will be dry and fluffy as opposed to...

Yea, you guys got hammered up there. We only ended up with just under a foot south of you but it looks like we may get more before it's done. I doubt we'll catch up to you in amount of snowfall! Stay safe and toasty warm! Looks like :old winter is here to stay now for a few weeks.

Hello fellow Pennsylvanians!:frow I recently joined BYC! We currently do not have any chickens but that should change in about a week. It's day 14 for our hatching eggs! :yaThey'll be the first chickens that we've had as a family and first chickens ever for the hubby and kids.
