Lurch1014 my coop (The Hillbilly Hutch).

I really like your design of your coop. I especially liked that you put a removeable roof ever the top of the run. I was reading you post lurch1014 and was inspired to share my coop. It looks like I accidently hijacked your post. Sorry.

    May Hatch-a-Long!

Today is day 16 for the Ayam Cemani and day 15 for the lavender Orpingtons. I am happy to say that every chick I saw at my 7 day candeling is still developing. Right now I have 10 out of 12 of the A.Cemani and 10 out of 16 of the Lavender Orpingtons still developing. There is one egg that I...

    Brinsea Ovation 56 EX

I agree. I would have gone to the 56 also. I'm starting to look for silver laced Orpingtons, I hope to hatch them out next.

    Brinsea Ovation 56 EX

I got to talk to the Brinsea Rep and they take the temps 1 inch off the floor (so in the egg rack) and at the level of the 2nd and 3rd egg rack ( so in my unit, right under the center control unit). Once I went there, I'm running the temp about 1.5 degrees higher to get a 99.3 -99.5 degree...

    Brinsea Ovation 28 Eco

Sorry I didn't make it clear. I did originally have it on the front wall. I then put it in the first egg tray and it was still low. Then moved it to the second egg tray and still low. It changed about one degree across the whole unit in the different spots. It is fan driven. Sorry I...

    Brinsea Ovation 28 Eco

So I am brand new to incubating. After a long search and saving, I purchased a Brinsea Ovation 28 Eco. It arrived the day the mailed eggs did and I was able to set it up and test it for a few hours, but not as long as I liked. I got a Sensorpush Bluetooth device a few days later and placed it...

    May Hatch-a-Long!

Thanks. It has been a long time in coming. We maintain a 30 hen flock and I add birds as some pass away. I am typically buying 3 day old chicks once a year, but was excited to try it from eggs. I look forward to the process and what is coming.

    May Hatch-a-Long!

I am new to the forum and this is my first incubation. I started this tread in the April Hatch a Long by mistake. I will get myself caught up here. I wanted to surprise my wife for Mother's Day. She really likes the look of the Ayam Cemani. I tracked down those eggs along with lavender...

    calling any one from missouri

I really appreciate it. I had no idea that they set them up to run like that. I will move my posts over to the May hatch a long and follow yours there. Thanks for the info

    Brinsea Ovation 56 EX

I'm 10 days in to the hatch and I have pretty good development so far, 21 out of 28 candeled active the first time. I just added the SensorPush to the incubator yesterday to the Brinsea Ovation 28 eco. When the Brinsea thermometer was reading 99.4, the sensor push on the bottom front wall was...

That is great that you found them local. Mine came through the mail. I'm posting my progress in the hatch a long forum page. You should do the same. They will start the May thread soon.
