    Dutchmans pipe vine (toxic to chickens?)

    I am looking for a nice vine to cover part of my chicken run. I love the Dutchmans pipe vine but I have read it makes the caterpillars toxic and bitter so birds will not eat them. It doesn't say if it will hurt my chickens or not. Has anyone used this vine?

    Here is what we did today. I needed help from my husband. She just laid there the whole time since she is used to be handled. Made our job easier. Does all this look like I'm doing it correctly?
