    I have 6 RIR Hens.. They just started laying about a month ago and my biggest day was 3 eggs lol sad huh :P ....Now that we are having shorter days here in Michigan I am getting 1 egg every other day... Thinking Im gonna set them up with with some light with a timer soon... How many are you getting?

    Hi everyone.. I have my 6 week old outside in her stage 2 brooder and was wondering... I need to trim around the small run with the weed trimmer and this might be a silly question but, ... Will she be ok or will the noise stress her out to much? Thanks

    From Incubator to Brooder?

    No he is the only one... He is our homemade Incubator testing chick.. AND IT WORKED .... He has dried up nicely through the night... Just a little spot on his back... I'll give him another hour just to be sure... Thanks

    Our chick took just over 30 hours to hatch... Just came out of his shell about 12 hours ago with a little help from me... He is running around and doing great in the Incubator... Would it be safe to go ahead and move him to his brooder now... Or should I wait for the last 12 hours?

    I will post pics in the morning... Thanks everyone for helping my son and I through the surgery of helping our baby chicken hatch!!!! .... Minutes after he came out of his shell he was running around and has been starring out the window... BOTH my son and the chick ( My son named him blacky )...
