My hens never laid fart eggs, but my light brahma hen, Oreo, laid an egg with only yolk!:lol:

Well, if it is normal, chickens don't lay much when they molt. Well, I meant the molting then when I said if it is normal, because, as you probably know, molting is normal. One of my hens is going through it right now.

Yeah, if you did feed grass to your chickens, I'm sure they could eat it. I've read tons of books about chickens and it never said they couldn't eat grass

My experienced hen, a light brahma, laid a very small egg yesterday. When I cracked it open, it contained only a yolk. I was expecting a "fart" egg", ( one with only white) but I have never heard of a yolk only egg. Has anyone else ever had this happen? What is the weirdest egg you've ever had?

our austrolorp lays large brown eggs every day.they used to be double-yolks.

I also have an easter egger who doesn't lay. She is going thru her first molt now and has never laid an egg. She is over a year old. Austrolorps and Blue Andalusians seem to be early layers.
