Not getting hardly any eggs- Polish hen not laying at all

I have 5 hens and I have only been getting 1 egg every other day. I have read some posts saying the same thing. I have a polish hen that has completly stopped laying. She hasn't laid an egg in 2 months. I give them egg layer crumbles along with scraps. What could be causing this?

Anyone noticing an unusually poor November egg production?

I was just about to post about the same thing. I have 6 hens and only 1 egg every other day. My girls need to get in gear, I need eggs for Thanksgiving! ha! Why do you think the laying is slowing down?

I know this has probably been asked and answered, but does anyone know where you can have your chickens butchered and the appox. cost? We are thinking about getting some chickens for butchering next year, but not sure if the cost is too much.

Would anyone want a buff orphinton rooster? He is a year old and recently has decided it's fun to run at me. He doesn't do it to anyone else, but I'm worried he will to it to my 4 year old and hurt him. I'm getting scared to go out to the coop because once I had my back turned and he ramed into...

Poultry- we candled them last week and there were some that didn't have anything in them (that's the way it looked) and some did, but our silly girls keep moving them around and trading, so we need to do it again. If you can tell something in there, does it mean it's good? Could there be a chick...

One of hens hatched her first chick today! I was so excited until I went back to check on it and somehow the other broodies in the coop got to it and pecked it to death. I can't figure out how it happened. The momma hen and chick were up in a nesting boxes and the other 2 are down on the ground...

    Egg hatching Question

My husband did 5 days ago and he said he could see something in them. Could they have died in the eggs or could they just be taking a really long time to develope?

    Egg hatching Question

I have 2 broodys that have been sitting on eggs for a really long time. I didn't mark it on the calendar when they started sitting but it's been at least a month, well over 21 days. I really think they started close to the beginning of May. What should I do?

I have 3 hens that are broody right now. In the nesting boxes I put some plastic easter eggs to encourage them to lay in the boxes and not on the floor. I checked under one of the broodies this morning and the poor thing is trying to hatch one of the plastic eggs! She isn't sitting on any real...

How in the world did this happen? (somewhat graphic)

That's what I was thinking with getting a new chicken, I didn't want to put a new one with a sick one and possibly have other sickness. I will do the feather duster and mirror. We have a small area for her on the other side of the yard away from our flock. We have only had her for a week so we...

Would a trap be the best thing to do to get rid of the coon? We are going to put the lone chicken in the garage so she will be safe, but will she be too lonely by herself if we don't get another chicken for her?

How in the world did this happen? (somewhat graphic)

We have 3 2-3 month old pullets that we just got and we had them seperated from the rest of our flock. My huband got one of those big rubbermaid tubs for their "coop" at night. He screwed it down to a board for the floor, put a board over the door opening (screwed in a way so it would move open...
