I have the same issue. All I do is feed them, clean their cage, give them fresh water - - - what is so scary? Their mother was always this way so I guess she is teaching the babies to fear people. Good luck.

That is a very sad story. I never thought of my chickens eating stings! I will need to take a look around, I think the tarp over their shelter is fraying but I never would have dreamt that they would try and eat it. Very sorry for your loss
