    Did you eat the barbs? What did you think of the meat? How well do the Niederrheiners lay? It may be my next breed to check out. My problem is when the birds are too sweet they're more like pets and I have a hard time killing/processing them. :)

    Yea. It was their first time to go broody and hatch chicks. The broody girl that turned mean even pecks at me know. When I get close to her (she's off the nest now) she makes the broody sounds and will peck at my feet.

    Hey CampingS. :) Hope you and your family have been doing well this summer. Yea. I didn't know it was so touch and go with broodies. Chicken life is brutal! I know now that if I want to be sure chicks have a good chance to make it I better hatch them and raise them in a brooder. Lol!
