Here is (I hope) pictures of Silver. I am having a hard time figuing out how to copy my pictures from my upload. I usually don't have a problem with computer stuff. He was crowing like crazy this AM. He is 11 weeks old. I need to get him a home ASAP.
Chillin' - Yes, I'm the mom. No reason why you should have remembered. Did you end up gettin up an order of the organic feed? Keep an ear out for anyone that may want my little Silver. I wish some one would have gotten that picture. Stacy and I saw them later going down the highway. What a...
Possumblossum- I was there at the Cracker Barrel meet - had a great time. (I was the one with my daughter. ) I feel I am still "new" to BYC. I just got to this Tennessee thread. One of my Easter Eggers girls crowed this AM. I am going to have to find a new home for "her". I heard through...

Here is an update with Silver. She (I hope) is now 5 weeks old and her comb does seem pretty red.

These are DEFFINETLY for eating. The taste reminds me of steak. I even have morel dreams where I find huge ones by the tons. Alas, just too dry this year.
This is my first attempt with chickens. These Eggers are 3 weeks old and are SO different. The tail is probably the big give away. "Silver" is much larger and has the tail that turns down. Fluff Feathers (the golden) is a lot smaller and that little tail is sticking straight up. All of my...
Here in Knoxville, TN we had some to come up last Thursday. These were extra small this year, too small to even bother with. The second type that we have were found this Monday. They are on the small side and have not been picked. It has just been WAY to dry this spring.
Good hunting!
