I am sooooo confused!!
1- The particles of DE are potentially detrimental to your respiratory system and should not be used by humans w/o a mask
2- Chickens have very delicate respiratory systems and are very prone to respiratory disease
3- Use DE in the chickens' bathing area and all around...
That beauty screamed Araucana to me at first glance, but no one has mentioned that so I am assuming I must be way off. What distinguishes an Easter Egger from an Araucana?
They were born April 5, 2014. The man I got them from said they "should" all be hens. The only one he said might be a rooster looks like a hen to me...TBD
If I knew the breed, I could tell the sex easier...help!

Not so great today ;(
The baby seems to have lost even more control of his left side. It is starting to seem more like paralysis than a physical injury. I don't even want to look at the characteristics of Marek's because what little I do know about the death sentence is all lining up with these...

The "bad" leg seems to be arthritic and limp. It also looks like one of her toes is bent funny. She doesn't seem to experience any pain when I press and feel around on her. Her left side seems to be higher than the right, but I am really grabbing at straws.
