I got a frozen duck from the grocery store, and halfway through the cooking process I saw some roundworms. It will be thoroughly cooked but is it safe to eat the meat? AS long as it's well done? Or do I have to throw away a $24 duck?

Sorry I don't. I got out of poultry a few years ago. I think they are illegal in some states. And with the AI outbreak I'd be surprised if anyone will be able to sell Easter chicks.

Glad my story & pics were of help. :) My hen recovered completely except she was deaf in that ear b/c when the plug came out so did her eardrum. But it wasn't a problem for her, she could hear with her good ear. Hence the saying "speak into my good ear". LOL

Something has been killing off my birds (call ducks & cochins) constantly! I thought my pens were secure but I guess not. Something is climbing up & grabbing legs/wings from the bottom wire floors and eating them up. No blood or feathers in the nest box. Here are pics of the pens and the latest...

Lee, it's not Photoshop, I just edited out the cluttered background & replaced it with black. I don't have Photoshop, it is not compatible with Linux OS. But I can use a pic of a different duckling if that one is not acceptable.
