No worries, you will find this issue with some of the modern incubators as well. After you put them in the brooder they will stretch out and get on with life. Happy hatching.
We do not want to toot our own horn, but the IncuBright from Incubator Warehouse is a great little candler with a super bright LED. Good luck and happy hatching.
One thing to remember is that a premade incubator's heater wattage is really only suitable for the container it was made for. You just put a low wattage heater made to heat a small container on a large open spaced box. Another thing to keep in mind is that the incubator is pulling its reading...
One of our interns unplugged an incubator one night when they were cleaning up, they did not notice until the next morning...this was in January so it was cold in the office overnight. The next morning it was plugged back in and the eggs hatched on time with a 98% hatch rate. Never give up...
I have to say I am partial to the IncuView myself. ;) However I use them both at home for my personal incubators and really cannot pick a favorite out of the two. If you have not tried our IncuView I highly suggest giving it a chance.
I love reading the replies and seeing all the cool things you all are doing with our incubator. I am curious to see how well this spacer concept is going to work out, seems pretty nifty. If you ever find a final design/pattern that works for you let us know, we would love to share it on our blog...
We would love to help you out. Give us a call or email (sorry cannot share that info here, gotta keep the admins happy) and we will happily troubleshoot this with you. I have read over the posts and think it may be easier to diagnose via phone. Anyways, we look forward to hearing from you.
Actually the difference in the advanced, deluxe, and other version is not the incubator but the accessories it comes with. The IncuView stays the exact same, the accessories like the candler or feeders is the difference. I have had this question come up before though about the combo kits being a...
Unfortunately the new hygrometers are larger than the old analog ones and will not fit in the old lids. However, if you want to send us an email with your order info I will see what we can do about getting you one to at least set in the base for better readings. I do not think I can openly share...
You can pop it out, yes. If you flip the lid over you will see 2 small compressible tabs that hold it in. It takes a good amount of pressure to press them in while pushing the hygrometer out. After that you are free to openly test it as you need.
