Ok thanks, I don't think I'm going to feed them egg shells though. I'm ok with it but some in my family are not.

Oh, I also have another question. Yesterday I got my second regular sized egg but on it are a few dark red- brownish colored smudges or dots I think they might be blood- has this ever happened to you before? Is it safe to eat? And thanks for all the input on my other questions!

Can I buy a smaller bag of the shells? And is there any other things I can use instead of oyster shells, just out of curiosity?
