    Hello from Sequim, Wa.

We are looking to move to Sequim hopefully in the near future and we were wondering what the chicken regulations are for that area?

So far they seem to be doing okay. I cleaned the one up and covered the wounds with antibiotic cream (Neosporin). I've been feeding them grapes and scrambled eggs and force feeding them water with electrolytes to keep them hydrated. They don't seem interested in grain of any sort but will eat...

I need help regarding some traumatized chickens. Found two of my chickens out in the yard last night cold, wet and one was bleeding from puncture wounds. Thought the other one was dead but when I picked her up she was still breathing. No blood except for tiny spots where her feathers had been...

I grew up in Indiana on a farm. We always canned fruits and vegetables along with our own meat, eggs and milk. The only thing we bought at the store was coffee, tea, salt and sugar. We were pretty much self sufficient.

There's a new hatchery up here. I think they call therselves Feathers & Tails or something like that. They had chicks for sale last spring and you could order the kind you wanted. They have a website. I'll try to find them again if anyone is interested.

Eeeewww!!! My bedraggled Martha looks like a diseased porcupine. All these new feathers coming in and standing up like porcupine needles. Looks really painful and tender. Poor baby - not a happy camper. The other one that has just a bare back doesn't seem to be growing any feathers...

I'm super excited that my little bedraggled hen Martha is finally getting her feathers back. She has been bare backed and sides and neck all summer long and I was beginning to worry it was something more than molting although she has laid all summer long but has looked like crap. I thought I...

The lady at our local feed store asked me today if I wanted some chickens. Couldn't take them because I don't have the coop space. They are blue cochins and there's a rooster in the bunch. Think there's 3 all together. She's getting rid of her chickens because she doesn't have the time any more.

WOW!!!! Is Western Ranchman still up there? Used to go there when we lived in Paradise Valley about 25 years ago and they were like a country store then.

All you guys in the Phx., Tucson, etc. area seem to be able to get chicks all year long from your local feed, tractor, etc. stores. We can only get chicks for a couple of months in the spring up in our area - April & May and maybe the first couple of weeks in June and that's it. Can't get any...

I've been giving eggs away to my neighbors, people at my church and my manicurist but they're coming too fast to keep up and my girls turn their noses up at scrambled or boiled eggs. They pick out the vegies, the meal worms and the grapes and leave the eggs alone.
