Looked like a regular egg that had been cracked open; I found her eating it. The flock has oyster shell in the coop along with layer feed. I think she's been okay before now but I'm still trying to figure out who laid what so I'm not positive.
Thank you!! I gave a soft tug and on the second try it came out with a squish of whitish liquid. It pulled the red part out a lot more but once the white came loose thankfully the rest mostly retracted back in. It does look like a soft shell I think.
Is there anything else I should watch for...
