    How do I know If bantam eggs are fertile?

    My bantam has laid eggs.She only sits on them at night.I was told that If they are not fertile a chicken will not sit on them? How will I know if they are fertile.And how long does it take for them to hatch? I have never hatched eggs before. Thanks for any advice.

    When I cracked open my golden comets eggs It looked like something was on the egg It was brown specks of something.It does not look like blood specks. Could this be from the feed they are eating?

    I am new at raising chickens so, if any one can help thanks I have recently gotten two golden comet hens they are about 6 months old I have them on laying feed they have been for about a month . Still no eggs will it be awhile before I get any eggs?
