We have dairy goats and I love it. I wouldnt buy that crap they sell in stores ever again. It is legal to sell in SC with a permit,,,so if anybodys looking,,I sell it for $4 1/2 gallon. Raw milk is a lot better for you plus you live longer too!!
I have 9 toms and 3 hens. They are about 7 months old. $40 for the toms and $30 for the hens. All natural grown. As close to organic as possible. Should be around 15 to 18 lbs by Thanksgiving. Im in Gray Court, SC.
Im getting 12 turkey chicks this weekend and I need to know if they are like chickens,,do they need a heat lamp. Do I just do the same thing I do for chickens?
Thanks
That thing on top their beaks,,is that the snood? And why sometimes is it real long and hanging down and sometimes its all pulled up tight and looks like a stump? what does that mean?
Thanks
I was thinking about getting into turkeys more but wanted to see what everybody else does. Which way do you feel is cheaper? Having your own tom and hen so you can hatch your own or just order say 15 day old babies from a hatchery? I was just thinking about getting a tom and hen but then I would...
Ok,,cool. Now that I know that,,I got another question for you. How bout that thing on top their beaks,,is that the snood? And why sometimes is it real long and hanging down and sometimes its all pulled up tight and looks like a stump? what does that mean?
Thanks
I have 4 Narragansetts. I was watching them and 3 of them had blue heads with red necks and 1 had all blue head and neck. I was wondering do the different colors mean something,,like mood changes? I dont know much about turkeys so I was just wondering.
Thanks
