HELP Sick Guinea Hen, very lethargic & fever

Thanks! I've got her separated with a heat lamp, gave her some Tylan and she has water with electrolytes. I'm considering giving her some Valabazen but I'm not sure it's worms at this point....

HELP Sick Guinea Hen, very lethargic & fever

I've noticed my guinea hen getting lethargic and being a loner over the past few days. I treated the entire flock with wazine in the water for worms just in case. She hasn't improved. She's been attempting to stay with the flock but has to lie down and rest while the others forage and looks...

    Buying Guinea Keets

I've never had trouble raising them in a brooder. Keets are pretty much the same as raising chicks in that area. As for introducing them, I keep them separate until they're big enough to range and introduce them for short amounts of time under my supervision. My adults are always scared of the...

    Listless cockerel, won't eat

Yes. He has no sign of any type of external parasite. I think I'm going to go ahead with the corid and I might give him a dose of valbazen a little early in case worms are the real problem. Thanks!

    Listless cockerel, won't eat

I have an 8 month old lav orp cockerel that hasn't been acting right for the past few days. He mainly stands hunched with his eyes closed and pays no mind to his hens. I attempted to give him scrambled eggs this evening and he refused them, when he normally scarfs them down. He is drinking...

    Managing LF Brahma Weight

I've been raising standard Brahmas for about a year now, so I'm pretty new at them, and I've noticed that they can pack on the pounds pretty quickly. I've been "holding them back" it seems like so they don't get fat. I've been feeding Kalmbach all natural layer crumble with 17% protein and...

White Millet vs. Mealworms and Training

For my guineas it took them a little while to decide millet was good. They never even paid it any mind for weeks on end and then one day, they went nuts over it. Now they can't get enough. I've never even thought to try meal worms... great idea!

tips and secrets of the GQF 1502 sportsman...

I've been researching cabinet incubators and can't really figure this one out. It looks nice and I like that it turns/incubates and hatches all in one, plus I do staggered hatches. What I'm not understanding (and it may be a stupid question) is how you hatch and incubate at the same time. I...

    I'M GOING INSANE!

I have a Brinsea with the humidity pump and it doesn't run all the time. Just occasionally half a turn here and half a turn there. As long as humidity is within 1 or 2% of what you want, it doesn't run constantly. Hopefully yours is working correctly! :/

    Post-Egg Bound Care

So you had luck with them laying again after the egg getting stuck? I'm worried she'll just keep getting egg bound!! Thanks for your advice. As for the white bread, what exactly does that do? Or is it just a treat...
