My first experience with coturnix quail!
When quail hop around in the cage that mean's they are happy, my quail chick and older one hop around and on to my hand and start singing when I put their sand box in their pen. It's such a rewarding feeling knowing they are happy and like you. xD -

Yeah I think it's that too because I originally had 4 quails but 3 were pecking Pudgy's eyes so I let the rest go in my yard (I still get eggs!) They were wild and couldn't be tamed always hitting their heads on the roof whenever i went to feed them/walk by them ,except pudgy so i kept her as a pet. -

Help!!!
I woke up this morning and found my 1 female quail stuck in her food dish I mean like ALL THE WAY IN! I'm so scared that if she has been stuck like that all night or not but one of her toes are purpleish black I just too her out and feed her and gave her water drinking for a total of 20 already... -

Indeed I lost one of my quails today while I was cleaning her sand out my very skittish one which is also the youngest has flown the coop right passed me. I'm thinking about getting a male for them now since the others arent so bad to handle but I want to hatch them I think the one that escaped...
