My chickens are pretty natural mousers, and will attack, kill and eat any mouse they are fast enough to catch. So far they haven't gotten anything from the mice. I suppose if you wanted to train them you'd go to the feed/pet store and pick up a few pinkies and fuzzies and let the chickens...

we had the same "problem", started with 2 australorps and 3 RIRs 2yrs ago, last year added 12 asst layers and a EE roo, silkies, OEGBs,and pekin ducks, this year added 30 tetra tints, hatched more barnyard mixes, silkies and OEGBs and a muscovey as well a coturnix quail. we are around 90ish...

I've read several places that bantam chickens should be given 1/4ml Tylan 50 daily for 5 days. My question is if this dosage is still safe all sized bantams. I've got bantam mutts who are closer to 3lbs and oegb hens who are 12-16ozs. Should I still give 1/4ml to the 12oz hen or is this dose too...

WOOHOO!!!!!!!, the incubator worked!!!!, my coturnix quail eggs hatched!, this was the 1st time we had eggs shipped and the 1st time with quail eggs and we have so far had about an 60% hatch rate :)

they all look to be coturnix chicks, there are many different colors. I just hatched out some eggs in my incubator and have at least 3 different colors

is anyone going to have muscovy hens or ducklings?
