    We just got our chicks today from MM and some are hamburgs. One of the hamburgs isn't looking good at all. She is always sleeping and gets up a little bit and isn't really chirping like the others. Hmm. . .

    I've done this a few times ( raising chicks that is) I have a red-heat lamp on them an I gave them gro-gel when they arrived they have food & water and are eating non-stop & pooping normally, temperatures 95 degrees! Any other suggestions?

    Hi, We have 30 chicks, 5 japanese bantams, and several standards. We just recieved them today from Murray Mcmurray (spelling?) We had to seperate the Japanese bantams from the others. The Japanese bantams are being EXTREMELY loud it's making my ears ring. I have raised chicks about 6 times...

    chickensducks&agoose : We dyed our chicks to tell them apart.. like Yellow chick with blue head dot... or yellow chick with NO dot... or yellow chick with left wing dot.... How did you dye them? I would love to know.

    Yours are beautiful and cute and adorable and everything else that little babys are!!! Here are my babies.. They were born last Fri & Sat. They are 6&7 days old today. Some of the chicks sleeping :-)

    Keeping track of chicks.. banding?

    I have 13- 5&6day old standard chicks.. All Either Purebred Americaunas or Americauna mixes.. the one and only rooster was an Americauna. I need to keep track of them. Is it to early to start banding them? Any other way to keep track of them? They all look the same to me,

    Unless you already found somewhere on craigslist to get them... an even better bet would be to go to your local feed store depending on where you live.. Just a suggestion. Can't wait for pics!
