Also keeping cool today was one of my neighbor’s hens, who found a nice shady spot on a paver and put it in park for a good bit:
During which, my bantam rooster made enthusiastic overtures, but she effectively shut down whatever he had in mind by ignoring all his attempts at light conversation.
Fuzzi are you having an extra humid summer in NC? It sure has been a heavy one in MI and I am curious to know if you’re getting anything out of the ordinary there. The chicks look happy about their suntime, humidity or no! :love
They have such elegant names :love
I don’t recommend naming a rooster Amnon, though. Fakes being sick, loafs around, keeps bad company, attracted to sisters, double minded, brothers want to kill him - probably wouldn’t be a popular guy at roost time.
Shadrach,
Sorry to return from a byc hiatus to find the allotments minus king Henry, mama Fret and lady Tull. There was surely only one Henry and he made it a sunnier place - it was a joy to follow his rambles. One more walnut for Henry.
Compliments to Mow and Sylph; they are looking lovely...
There is just something vaguely disquieting about a gumball, possibly its resemblance to this?
Weapons aside, a pinecone wreath with a few gumballs scattered in would be attractive! If you make, I hope you post a picture or two so we can admire.
Fuzzi, the hoop coop progress is great to see...
I think Henry would enjoy celebrating 70 years young with you: just don't let things derail to the point of your drinking his rooster booster and his drinking a whiskey. To such goings on, Henry may say Nah and wisely choose to stay home with the hens ;)
