    Chicken seizure?Update:Same happened to a different hen,contagious?

I have never understood the mentality its just a chicken. Just because you didn't spend a lot to buy it doesn't mean you love or appreciate them any less then another type of animal especially if you think of them as pets. If you can afford it and it makes you happy take them to a vet.

Free to good home Silkie Rooster MD

My silkie rooster is 5 mths old just started crowing. He is friendly and will allow you to pick him up. Does not seem too bright, may be the feathers blocking his eyes or something else. I have another male and do not want them to start fighting, they keep setting each other off very noisy...

    Snezzing pullet

One of my new 5 mth old chickens is sneezing. She did go into a hut with older hay that when I cleaned out was moldy. She has no obvious discharge and seems perky. The sneeze like noise does seem to be aggrivated by me catching her. I have put Vetric on her and put Vitiman/MIneral/probiotic...

Male or Female ? 5 mths old I believe an EE

I got her yesterday, well I hope its a she. 4-5 mths old very sweet but the streaming tail feathers have me wondering if maybe its male. I believe its an Easter Egger. The lighter one was sold as an Ameracauna.

    baby won't eat

Thanks everyone for your help. I tired almost all the tricks and she never tried to eat on her own. Now I have a pretty good bag of tricks up my sleeve and that makes me more confident. Lets hope i manage to keep the other ones healthy. My 4 year old is taking this very well thank goodness. I...

Pasty Butt cleaned off but lethargic and not peping up

The other babies are doing great but I am down to 2. One piggy silkie (that is a breed right, she never stops eating) and a Bantom not sure what kind yellow with a couple black spots. I am afraid I will end up with 2 boys so I think I am going to pick up a few more chicks.

Pasty Butt cleaned off but lethargic and not peping up

She was dead when I went down stairs to check not looking forward to telling my daughter another chick past away. When do you get to take a breather, it seems like if I am not down there all the time something aweful happens. She was the only one that had not scared me and now 1 week later...

Pasty Butt cleaned off but lethargic and not peping up

Thats what I was afraid of. We only started with 4 and not that its easier when you have a lot but being left with only 2 babies would be a big bummer. It doesn't help that my 4 year old is gonna cry as well. My husband thinks we should pick up a few more but its really hard on me when I wait up...
