"Lacing" is the color that goes around the edge of each feather. Splash is the term for a color variety that is mostly white with some blue "splashes".
If blue birds (genetic code Bb) are mated together, they throw a percentage of ‘off’ colours in their chicks, the probability being 25% blacks...
Probably not show quality, but you never know. I have a Golden Neck d'Uccle from a hatchery that is nice enough to show. She's not a show winner, but she has won Best of Breed before. :)
I agree. We need to know what type comb it has. It could just be the blurry picture, but it looks like a pea comb. If so, it's not an Australorp. I would like to see a side shot of the bird, too.
