Nevermind . I think i just found out about it on another post. I am going to pin it on their first molt. So my next question is ho long before I see more eggs. The Neighbors are getting antsy
I have 4 chickens (See Sig) and they have laid for me all summer long. as of late, they have not laid in the past 6 days. No changes to the coop or anything, i was thinking the weather change, we are here in California. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
KNC
I am 100% sure they are not roosters, they are confined to a chicken run, and they are not molting as far as i know. I have been mixing some scratch with their food as well as oyster shell. so i wil cut the scratch out immediately.
thanks

I have an EE and a black australorp both of these birds are not laying they are about 30 weeks old, i have 2 leghorns that have been laying for about a month now, they are all around the same age. can chickens be sterile? Can anyone help with some knowledge.

Hello all! my Leghorn just began to lay eggs i have gotten 3 since this past Saturday. however, the first one was small but the other two were even smaller. how long until i start to see an average sized egg?
Thanks
