Thank you~ It was a stressful delivery but mama and all her piglets are doing great now..
The piglets are already running around like they weren't even born last night :th
We have piglets~! :celebrate Didn't get a wink a wink of sleep last night but it was worth it~ :wee
She had 14 piglets total, 2 unfortunately were still born :hmm We also have a runt but she's looking just as strong as her litter mates
Mamma's so proud~ :love:love
So my pig's gone into labor, Been about 2-3 hours since she's started and she's already got two piglets, A boar and a gilt. Hasn't had any for about an hour so it's looking like i'm going to have to start pulling them out unfortunately :hmm I'll post pics once she has the third piglet, Gonna be...
Never worked for me :idunno Maybe a call duck pair.. It's still nice to have more than just one hen, Especially if she were to lose one of the two. Then you'd have to go through all that trouble to find a new buddy for a lonely duck and introduce new birds together. And because @HuffleClaw 's...
Drake is a khaki campbell and the hen is a khaki x rouen x something else with a crest mix.. Looks almost like a crested mallard~ Beautiful pair :love:love
might want to find a hen or 2 to add to your lovely pair then, A single hen will get over-bred by a drake easily.. Not fun to deal with trust me  Especially now with spring right around the corner, All of my drakes are starting to get more "Active" with the days getting longer.
Nope~ I use shavings as bedding and mix it up everyday so poop doesn't collect in one spot, So it stays pretty clean for about a month before I have to change the bedding (Note that it keeps more than 60 birds in it at night) I don't have any pictures of it but I can get you some tomorrow :)...
Wet sand isn't nice to have and will rot out the floor (If wooden) So I would go with poop boards, You could have a walk-in coop with roosts and a poop board high enough so you wont have to bend over or anything to clean them out.. My roosts in my coops are 5ft and 6ft tall and my chooks do just...
Never used sand in my coop before, Do you have a poop board under your roost? I wouldn't sand on the actual floor of the coop but I don't see the problem with putting sand in your run. Your chooks will probably just use the entire run as a dust bath area ;)
Had a little heart attack when I read that :gig No unfortunately I wont keep any.. Ok maybe one but the rest are going to be sold(Keeping the two is already a pain in my butt) 4 of them will be for butchering, Where i sell my eggs wants pasture-raised pork so I told them i'd keep a few to sell...
He does so well! I'd be in tears on the very first sauce, I can't handle anything spicy
Speaking of being in tears, Just finished the one with Ramsey.. Love the moment at 14:30! Couldn't stop myself from laugh :lau The ending was hilarious :gig
Didn't know Gordon was on it?? Love him to bits~ I'm a horrible cook and will burn anything but still enjoy cooking~! Need to find that episode.. :pop
It's been on my watch-list.. Trying to finish up Out-lander right now. Been binge watching it all month
