Hi. I sold all my birds last August to two friends as my husband was very ill and I am unable to care for them without his help due to my own issues. I will be getting some chicks from one of my friends shortly so I can continue on with my line. Just won't let my flock expand as much as I did...
Curled toes are genetic in favs. I have bred favs for 8 years. You must cull them out or it comes back to haunt you. I did the shoe thing in the beginning and it did more harm in the long run. If you want the birds for pets, etc. then it is fine, but for breeding...not so much!
I had bantam salmons for 8 years. Last year my husband was ill and I had to sell my flock. It worked out well because one friend who bought some of my birds, also bought my incubator and he is hatching some out from my birds and giving them back to me to get started again with my own stuff...

Sebrights are not noted for laying ability, and often regardless of when they are hatched they do not lay until the following breeding season. Its not unheard of for them to go a few weeks then and then stop and not lay until the next breeding seasons. Usually the roosters combs turn red way...
12 hatching and 2 dying out of 18 is not bad at all for eggs shipped through the mail, especially if they were shipped in the summer. My interpretation of what he is saying is that yes, you got the number of purebred orpington eggs you ordered and that he throws in extras from other purebreds...
Sadly offering my entire flock of salmon faverolles bantams, 7 years in the making...22 hens, 2007, 2008, 2009. Roosters from the same years. Culled heavily for good combs, correct toes (number and placement), eliminating crooked beaks, most hens with lovely clear breast color, finally have...

NO - I don't have pictures. Look at a Sportsman or whatever...
The quills to the feathers coming up will shed little white pieces that look like dandruff. I would expect that is what it is. Chickens skin peels and flakes like everything elses does, especially when new feathers come in.
Guinea hens will clear the 6 foot fence with no problem. Mine used to roost on the roof to our house. I don't think diatomaceous earth will help with ticks.
I have 25 standard barred rocks, 4 weeks old and growing beautifully. These are lovely birds from Murray McMurray. We were going to grow them for meat but we had an extraordinary hatch in our own breed so something has to move! Selling at $3.00 each, pickup in Watkins Glen, NY. Can't tell...

I hatched out seven sebright chicks and 5 favs over the weekend. Two of the sebrights had a wierd thing where they put the top of their head on the ground and kind of spun around on it. To move they flapped their wings which they kept way out from their bodies and kind of paddled backwards...
