Hey, I figured I'd give this thing a shot. I have no idea what I'm doing here so this could take a while!
The Sweeties we lost
In the pic is Snuggles (in back) and Big Bubba Jones (in front). These were our first ducklings. They weren't even supposed to be ours. There were 4, they were...
Do you know what caused the death of the other 2? I only ask b/c you wouldn't want to bring in a new duck if there's a chance of illness that caused the loss of the other 2. Do you have other ducks (or chickens or "other" bird) that he could hang with until you raise new ones?
Hey - what's all that green stuff on the ground?!?! LOL I've only seen mounds of white for so long I've forgotten what's underneath!

When they were little I used to be able to snuggle them all the time. Once they graduated to their outside pen they turned into "teenagers" - too cool to hug! Now they don't even like to be petted .
It was so could out here that my crew had ice flakes on their feathers this morning! I had to pick each of them up and hug/snuggle them until they warmed up! They weren't too thrilled but they didn't really fight me. Once they figured out that snuggling was warm they stuffed their heads under my...
