My EE roo from Townline - another one of those "she" that was a "he" from whatever line they were breeding last year. Look familiar to a few of you? ;)
Wow that is over 2 hours from me. I don't know if it's a possibility. Do the sales run the entire time or just the last day?
Ever hear of this one? http://www.mbgba.com/upcoming_events
As soon as I get a chance, I'll read it (I am taking breaks from putting on a barn roof with hubby).
Here is the pullet that I also have. I like to think I have a good start...
It does! I was going to sell him (I also have a black roo and a lavender roo) but I think he'll stay to see how he turns out. What the heck, what's one more roo anyways? All mine get along right now - I have a mixed flock with 6 roos plus these three, and have the girls (as soon as most...
Not quite an EE - one of the Amerucana roo's I have. He was lavender went white. Seems like no one on the AM thread will answer when I ask about his tail set and yellow beak - I went to the AM thread and they have a pic of a white roo with yellow beak, yet someone else over on the AM list...
I am attracted to both EE & Amerucana - and am interested (and you are not too far away, I am in Michigan) and while I have a bit to learn yet, I am intrigued. But I don't have a lot of $ to spend on high-quality birds (and try explaining that to my husband). Is there a link/page I can...
You would think so. Mosey on over to the Amerucana thread...this is from the last few days:
"Except when you want to show them. Then you have to follow the breed standard rules. Like a person said a couple posts before, the breed standard says any bird that meets the Ameraucana standard and...
I have both EEs and Amerucanas - learning about Amerucanas, and guess what! They are really not purebreds in the sense of consistently repeating type. They only have to repeat type 50% of the time, and the breeders cross other breeds in to strengthen type. I think I insulted the thread by...
I am so digging this guy. Can't wait to see how he finishes.
Stopped at Townline to pick up two chicks for a single chick that I hatched (for company) and they showed me how they were sexing the EE's. It's very obvious the two lines of feathers for the girls and one for the boys. I did...
This is supposed to be a blue laced red wydonette - obviously not since "her" legs turned green, but look how pretty these colors are turning! I hope I get something really interesting!
The surprise roo - he was in the pullet bin. Seems like Townline is having issues sexing - he is not the first I've heard of this year (they told me they are only feather sexing). What do you think he'll end up looking like? He has a full beard which makes me want to keep him for possible...
I have four roos that all get along, sneaking in two more (I am adding more girls to help keep the balance) so don't give up on that yet. I did have some spring scuffles, but they got over it and are now happy. Right now I only have 14 hens for them. Got 30 more growing. I do let them free...
Okay, this is supposed to be a pullet, and looks the same as the other pullets except for no tail yet. I know they can be anything, and I wonder if it's from the Ameracana background or if it's possibly a roo. Oh, almost 6 weeks.
