Wowsers @IamSamSam They are enormous eggs!
@kat79 sorry to hear about losing your girl
Congrats on hatches everyone! It's making me itchy to hatch more but I do have more than enough in my flock at the moment. My stubborn, broody Wilma the splash orpington isn't helping the...
Thanks for your kind words @ChristieB ! I've been training him to "stack" ever since he was 4 weeks old at his breeders. We practice everyday in front of a mirror to get it right and also go to weekly show training.
Believe me, he still has a ways to go. He still wriggles a bit when the judge...
Congrats to everyone who've had successful hatches. Loving all the baby pics
Commiserations to all who've lost a part of their flock, it is never easy.
@Fancychooklady what strapping young lads! Handsome boys.
Foxes are probably my main concern. While I've never seen one where I am...
Wow... hatches, babies and adorable cuteness!! Now I want to hatch more babies
I'm glad your mp3 seems to be working @Teila . I'm glad I don't have crows cawing at ungodly hours. We just have plovers who sometimes get upset at something in the middle of the night and go off, but that's not...
Thanks Fancy, I had a read through that thread. Failing the fishzole, I might try the copper sulfate solution they talk about and give that a go as I have some on hand if I need to. But so far the Nilstat drops are working so it won't be too much longer that I need to use them.

Yuck!!! He seemed...
Adorable babies @ChristieB
Welcome to the thread, @mrz hen . I'm up to my ears in eggs at the moment; the girls are laying up a storm! I have 6 dozen in the fridge at the moment, ready to bring to work to sell as "fertile eggs"
Talking about snakes, I've encountered one big Eastern...
The reddish chicks should be girls as they are red sex links the white one I would be suspicious of it being a cockerel. Fingers crossed for the australorp
I've tried asking vets and multiple chemists for that exact tubing (called urinary catheters) with no luck unfortunately Apparently they don't keep any on hand as it's a specialised piece of equipment.
My mother in law is a nurse, but she lives about 2 hours away.
Good morning all.
I've been MIA for a couple of days as my mum had carotid bypass surgery on Tuesday morning. She's doing great after the op and we hope she'll be home on the weekend.
Casanova is hanging in there. I've had to quickly learn how to crop feed though as he was not getting...
Good morning everyone!
Had a successful day at the Ekka, with some minor setbacks. The breed on before us, the Boston Terriers caused a bit of a dilemma where one dog attacked another so there had to be a full blown inquiry and investigation which badly delayed proceedings much to the...
