Hello all,
Aware, through my many searches, that this is a topic of debate - but I'm looking for a gluten-freefeed for my rescue hens when they arrive. Both myself and my wife are Coeliac, my wife much more sensitive to exposure than I am, and neither of us want to bring any gluten into our...

Does anyone know of farms/companies on the West Coast that sell duck feed without wheat, rye, or barley, or soy? I know of New Country Organics and Reedy Fork Organic Farm, but both of those eastern suppliers charge an arm and a leg for shipping (I'm in Oregon). We put a mix together ourselves...
...as well. And the price, I feel, isn't too bad for a 50lb bag, and it ships out pretty fast. However, they only have one option for a glutenfreefeed. You can find it here: https://www.newcountryorganics.com/layer-feed-wheat-free-soy-free-50-pounds.html
The chick starter is by Pampered...
I need a GlutenFree/Oat Free starter feed. I have 1 week old Australorps (2) and 2 week old Golden Sex-linked chicks. They are doing grand as they are gaining lots of weight, chirping happily, and very active. I have so far raised them on a glutenfree/soy freefeed recipe that I found on line...
Hello there, I was interested in an animal nutrition consultation, but sadly, no self respecting animal nutrition consultant will take a guy with several dozen ducks on his property seriously. I run a medium sized poultry farm in East Tennessee and I feel less than amazing about feeding them...
So I've posted in the past about finding a glutenfree recipe and have decided to try making my own. Our chickens are laying but less than a year old. Here is the recipe, we have little idea what we are doing do please give advice.
20 lb sunflower
10 lb millet
15 lb safflower
10 lb oats
10 lb...
WHEW! That sure sounds politically correct!
I have had a flock of free-range chickens for a few years now, and they are laying well and yolks are a deep orange color. I have become very allergic to wheat, even though I follow a gluten-free diet myself. It's either from the 2 eggs a day I eat...
(Taking requests for corn free please email [email protected])
Hi all, we now have our glutenfree, soy free, holistically grown chicken feed for sale.

What are some ways you get calcium into your chickens
I use oyster shell and limestone. I'm wondering if there are any other inexpensive ways to get calcium into their diet.
What grasses or other plants do your chickens like to eat that grow fast? I want to try growing flats of something in the house so i can have the chicken eat something fresh (other than store bought stuff) in and out of the coop over the winter.
So my flock that I raised from day old chicks in October 2015 started laying in March...just in time for Easter eggs! Been loving having my own hens & the daily supply of fresh eggs that goes along with them...except.........
I react to wheat - stomach/intestinal issues & an itchy, painful...
Please note: this isn't for the quail I want to do this. I'm quite sensitive, enough that just handing the feed can make me ill. I'm taking precautions like wearing rubber gloves and trying not to breathe too much dust in when I'm pouring it, but I still get sick sometimes.
I don't really want...
I have celiac and I was having severe skin reactions to the feed and so I consulted a few different specialists and formulated a duck feed.
It contains
Whole oats that I cracked myself
wild bird seed fruit and nut blend
Alfalfa
Black Oil Sunflower seeds that I cracked myself
Meal worms...
I have searched far and wide for glutenfree chicken feed. I understand eggs and chicken are Glutenfree, however I wish for my daughter to be able to reach into feed bag and throw a handful into the wind without gearing up to prevent contact and breathing in the wheat/Barley/Rye dust. Celiac...
...it as a developer feed?
3. Should I alter the recipe at all? (Like by taking something out, adding something, changing the amounts, etc)
4. Do you know of a company that produces organic and glutenfreefeed for layers?
Thank you for your help!
And sorry that I am obsessed with these...
I'm trying to come up with a gluten/soy freefeed for my chickens. I'm also looking into fermenting and/or sprouting seeds but am starting here first with a recipe. Do any of you have any advice on this recipe? I altered it from a non glutenfree recipe I found. Any nutrition holes I need to...
