2 bantam Cochin hens (1 barred and 1 black)
1 unknown (thinking a Marans or Sexlink) who survived a fire.
And going to be picking up a barred bantam Cochin roo on Friday. And I thought I was done for the year!
One of my older silkies (the one in my profile picture) died a few days ago and I am devastated, but my poor polish bantam hen is mourning real bad. She was raised by this silkie (who was a dependable mother and raised a lot of my chicks) but while the other ones eventually ventured away from...

I have an opportunity to get a trio of seramas and I'm very tempted. I live in Ma so in the winter it can get pretty cold down here. I have about 50 hens in the main coop and everybody (even my abnormally small d'Uccle bantam) did ok. I'm having insulation put in the coop soon, but was wondering...

I'm getting 8-10 ex-batts on Thursday and am worried about bringing in diseases. How long should I quarantine? Any advice on things I can do to prevent a disease outbreak? Thanks!
