He comes back? Humm. Do rabbits have that instinct like chickens? My birds dissapear but come back at dusk. Could I "free range" him? Just a thought
Yeah Thumper the rabbit is cool. I can't get the pic upload thingy to work right on my driod but as soon ask can get to my PC I will post a pic of him. He is grayish silver and is huge and still growing. I would say he weighs about 10 pounds. And I have heard that they get up to 15 or 20. I...
I go up earlier than usual this morning and went to check on my birds before leaving home. This was at 2:00 am. When I got close to the coop I heard something running away from the coop ( other coons I guess) buy anyway there he was looking at my girls and looking at me, caught red handed...
My Flemish giant rabbit loves to hang out in the run with the girls. I put him in there from time to time. I was considering combining their habitats. Thoughts? Is it ok for them to eat each others food? Does anyone do this?
My avatar is my first Marans egg beside a RIR egg. A got another one yesterday. I assume from my other Marans. It was as dark but shaped totally different. They are peculiar. All my other hens use the same box but my Marans uses different one.

My. Roo is a Buff Orp. And I also have a mixed roo (RIR and BO I think). If your roo is a BCM I know he must be beautiful. In my opinion BCM roos and dark leghorn roos are among the prettiest out there
I added a pair of young BCM pullets to my flock memorial day weekend and at long last I got my first Marans egg today!!! It has got to be the most beautiful egg I have ever seen. Dark dark brown with speckles all over. Can't wait till tomorrow. What kind of laying rate can I expect? Also...
Yeah coon tastes great, but I know my city girl wife wouldn't eat it. I love her to death but this country living thing freaks her out. She is still kinda scared of the dark out here where there aren't any street lamps. How did she get hooked up with a country boy like me?
Ok. So. I have a trap and used to be an avid coon hunter. My next question is what should I do with the caught coons? Just shoot um or what? Sardines work wonders for catchin coons, but ii turn them aloose down the road will they just come right back. I hate to kill something im not gonna...
Went out about 4 this morning OTW to work andchecked on the chickens. I spooked two coons and watched them leaving the coop. All birds accounted for and the didn't harm the eggs. Could they bejust eating the feed??? Or did I catch them before they could do any damage? Will they harm a...
