When I got white leghorns I was warned of their aggresive personality towards other chickens. Now that they are grown up, they are some of the sweetest birds I got! Is it becuase I raised them with more docile birds in the brooder? I was just wondering if they really are an aggresive breed.
Forum works fine, but everytime i go to anything on the home site, like peoples pages, it just has the corner block of the Logo, and a lot of white spacing.
are there any specific things you have to do to keep feathers for long periods of time?
I find them in the yard all the time and they are to neat to waste!!!

How do silkie genetics work? With the silkie feathers? Is it dominant or recessive? why does it sometimes come out when you breed birds that aren't at all silkies?
Sorry about all the questions. I just added silkies to me my "collection" of birds and I am always inquisitive.

Partridge Silkie? Or some mix? We got the hatching eggs from a breeder with very good lines, so so i am very confused. Unless he/she was mixed up with the other eggs in my incubator.

Well. they are young, but somewhere had said that the females have darker coloring and males are lighter. I have one that is rather dark and one that is really light. I just wanted to see if they are true. It would be great if i have a pair(:smilesmilesmilefl fl fl (They are the tan ones)

I whipped what I could off of her, but there is still some dry blood caked on where it was open, should I just leave it to heal or should I treat it? I have had bird get little scrapes on there combs but this seems a bit worse.
