My hens occasionally lays eggs while roosting at night, they are rubbery without a shell, she will then lay normally 24 hours later or even the same day depending. They are 6.2 months old, 24/7 free range, access to water and Purina layer mash and southern state chick starter at all times...
One of my BSS passed two soft shelled eggs while roosting last night the egg shells feel rubbery, please see photo! My hens are free roam 24/7 with calci and calcium fortified laying pellets as well! What could this be from and what can I do?

Hi all, I have a BSL pullet with crooked neck and she isn't eating, he's pecking but not consuming, she drinks great! Is there anything at all I can do for her??
I'm so excited,
My father in law agreed to split the cost of some hatchery BSL Pullets but to my surprise paid for all of it plus food! Sweet! My last crop was last year and I had 31 d'uccle chicks any only lost 2 due to scissor beak. I sold all of them to a young girl and her mother and was...
Hello,
Thank you for looking at my thread, I have two 7 week old mallard ducks and was wondering when you can tell the sex? They both look like females right now with no green coming through on the head(s)! If they aren't old enough to tell sex please correct me as to when!
Thanks!
Not sure this is a suitable location to post this thread but thought that selling a flock was management haha.

My daughter is wanting a duckling but I am having a hard time finding any, flying breeds are OK as I can clip the wing but duckling must be very very young so that I can raise it tame for my daughter, if you are just hatching some I'd be willing to pay for the duckling and be put on a waiting...
My daughter is BEGGING me for a duckling but I have small bantam chickens and don't want a giant dominate duck around the yard, are there any small duck breeds that aren't terribly hard to find that I could get for my daughter?
Thank you!!!
I bought bands from the American Bantam Association, they and there website states to band them at 8 weeks of age, my d'Uccles are 4 weeks old and luckily I thought to try one on and to my belief they have so much feathering on the feet I could barely get them on the feet, once on they have...
Many of you know that I had two cross beak chicks out of my 31 d'Uccle's, I thought that what I was doing was right by keeping them alive, accommodating their special needs to keep them healthy but my own selfish wants got in the way of their needs for over 3 weeks, I could see the pain they...
Okay, well most of my babies have turned really friendly and run to my hand when I enter the brooder and all climb into my hand looking for goodies.
Here is my problem, they are now obsessed with me(which I love!!) and are trying to fly to the top of the brooder, one has succeeded in doing so...
I have 3 week old d'Uccle Bantams and I put a very small and very shallow dish out with purred grit in it so they are tiny pebble sized and they are eating it like crazy, is this safe?
Also bought small meal worms and after they ate some grit I chopped the heads off the meal worms and offered...
