Second time's the charm on electric fence kit

I bought a Kencove electric fence kit. It sagged badly and the lower part of the fence curved in badly. It was not suitable for use with my chickens. I had to pay extra for everything. I returned it and got the Premier 1 fence. The Premier fence is great. Easy to set up doesn't sag or curl on...

    Wheat Belly

I just finished reading a great book called "Wheat Belly" by Dr. William Davis. I highly recommend this book. You can buy it on Amazon.com. The wheat we have today is not the wheat we ate as children. It's killing us. I've lost 141 pounds in the last 19 months. No diet, no calorie counting, no...

I'm new to raising chickens but I know that they like to eat bugs. The more bugs they have the less feed you have to buy. I've found a way to collect free chicken food. You take a squirrel cage blower, a light, and a stocking or tight weave burlap bag. Attach the stocking or bag on the exhaust...

New From The Heart of Bourbon Country in Kentucky

Hi. My first post to BYC forum. I just bought a house with 5 acres. I've been buying eggs from an Amish farmer in my area, the last couple times I've gone to buy he's been out. Since I've got the room now I am going to raise chickens myself. I have a family of 6 so I would think 6 or 10 birds...
